How close are we to the off line mode? I work in a rural area and internet is not reliable. I hate to load other programs just to play my games.

Thanks for your time.

why would you do that? It only brings you piracy-problems.

Everyone is online...24/7

Hi there,

I think that Franco is still going to have a online check but every 4-5 hours apart, so if you are on a train journey, for say 3 hours, you will be able to play your Retro games for those hours, before the next online check is needed, which will stop retroX running, if it doesn't get its online check when expected.

If that makes sense, so i think this will work out very well.

4-5 hours seems very restrictive still. I work in a podunk town which has crappy cell service and I cannot use the internet at work for personal use. Honestly it needs to be at least 12, but preferably 24 hours. I am happy for the people who have great internet 24/7, but it does not apply to all areas.

I have spent money on something that is mostly for portable use and I can only use it at home and it is sad, because I have had several friends ready to buy in and then not follow through because of the always online component. It is a great program, but could even be better once this is worked out.

I do not know what the right answer is but it is hard to recommend this to other people right now.

For what it is worth, I hope this is worked out before theme support is implemented.

I will keep watching to see what happens. :|

Peace.
