Given the way the display works in that emulator is not possible right now but... as some emulators broke with Android Oreo, I'm working on the screen updates so may be this could be an opportunity to work on that.

Hm. Still no response. I guess support for this has well and truly ended!

There are several emulators to fix yet, and one of them was fixed some days ago (DosBox). Support and development are totally alive, there is a lot of work behind the scenes, don't expect that everything would be fixed from one day to another. Fixing only DosBox took several days, and it was "easy".
