Portrait Mode

I would like to play games on my tablet in portrait mode. This would make playing with touchscreen controls easier and more comfortable plus the game could fit on top half of the screen and not be covered by virtual controls. It doesn't seem that this option currently exists, unless I am just not seeing it. Any plans for this?

There is no option for that. It may be considered if someone can work in creating the overlays for this mode.

What would working these overlays require?

I, too would love an option for portrait (esp. for those MAME games that desperately need it ... Shaolin's Road FTW).
