PSP emul advance setting

Postby rafivip » Wed Dec 13, 2017 6:34 pm

Hello all,

I just finished my 5 days trial and going to purchase the app. Is there a way to access the advanced settings for the PSP emulator? because I do have the PPSSPP Gold app already and its way smoother than RetroX when it comes to the PSP section, due to the advance setting. ANy help would be appreciated. Playing God oF War Chains of Olympus is too choppy on my shield with Retro but its really good with PPSSPP

thank you in advance

Not sure if it is the advanced settings or not but there is one rom I have for PSP and when I try and load it the game doesn't load. But instead it shoots me into a PPSSPP menu screen. Not sure this info helps in anyway just letting you know I was able to access a PPSSPP menu on retrox. I'd love for a way to make psp games to run smoother. So far they are not bad but smoother is always better.

In the game details screen, using the settings button you can access the relevant PPSSPP settings.

Also tried this last night on my Shield, after Retroarch proved very annoying :)

Shall be purchasing.

Will the PPSSPP option to use Vulkan rendering be made available for RetroX? It makes a huge difference for e.g Outrun on the Shield.

Thanks.

I haven't tried it. I'm using a rather old version of PPSSPP, may be it's time to update it!!!

Yes give it a try, the difference is astonishing even on default settings.

Right, I'm going to purchase my RetroX licence RIGHT NOW to persuade you to update the PPSSPP core :)

PSP emulation is one of the most important aspects for me, as ppsspp is a great emulator and I can run almost all games perfectly. Much as I like retrox I can't justify full version unless psp emulation is updated as I want just one emulator on my shield TV and tablet and right now I need ppsspp separate. Please update to use vulkan backend.

Also, is there a better psx emulator for retrox with some advanced graphics options? To fill the screen like ppsspp does?

Thank you.

Some people have told me about the ePSXe emulator:

http://www.epsxe.com/android/index.html

Note that you can use the full screen on any emulator with RetroX Settings -> Display -> Emulators -> Full Screen, but the screen is stretched. PPSSPP uses another method given that the display is a real 3D scene.

Thanks for that. Will you be updating to use the vulkan backend in ppsspp?
