Hey so I purchased retrox the other day and I am having some issues one of which is my PSX games.
I have enter the folder for my .bin/.cue files and scanned for games. Its loaded about 10 our of 40. There is a game called Sony Playstation when i try to play it. It starts to download the 30 games that where not scanned in properly.
I also have an error message pop up when browsing through google drive.
Any ideas?
Thanks

Re: PSX Games not scanning in properly
I think this is the problem: "There is a game called Sony Playstation"
When you have multi disk games, they are named using the name of the parent folder. Put them in a separate folder and they will be scanned and named properly.

Re: PSX Games not scanning in properly
Ah right thanks do i have to add these games as a single game or can i just add the parents parent folder and it will scan in? I will test anyway thanks
Re: PSX Games not scanning in properly
Single disk games -> One parent folder
Multi disk games -> One parent folder for each game:
For example:
PlayStation Games/Game1.bin
PlayStation Games/Game1.cue
PlayStation Games/Another game.bin
PlayStation Games/Another game.cue
PlayStation Games/A multidisk game/Game (Track 1).bin
PlayStation Games/A multidisk game/Game (Track 2).bin
PlayStation Games/A multidisk game/Game (Track 3).bin
PlayStation Games/A multidisk game/Game.cue
Multi disk games -> One parent folder for each game:
For example:
PlayStation Games/Game1.bin
PlayStation Games/Game1.cue
PlayStation Games/Another game.bin
PlayStation Games/Another game.cue
PlayStation Games/A multidisk game/Game (Track 1).bin
PlayStation Games/A multidisk game/Game (Track 2).bin
PlayStation Games/A multidisk game/Game (Track 3).bin
PlayStation Games/A multidisk game/Game.cue

Re: PSX Games not scanning in properly
Hmm ok sorry to be a pain!
So I have:
/Sony PlayStation/Final Fantasy VII/Final Fantasy XII (Disk 1).bin
/Sony PlayStation/Final Fantasy VII/Final Fantasy XII (Disk 1).cue
/Sony PlayStation/Final Fantasy VII/Final Fantasy XII (Disk 2).bin
/Sony PlayStation/Final Fantasy VII/Final Fantasy XII (Disk 2).cue
/Sony PlayStation/Final Fantasy VII/Final Fantasy XII (Disk 3).bin
/Sony PlayStation/Final Fantasy VII/Final Fantasy XII (Disk 3).cue
In RetroX I go to Manage Games > Add Single Game and choose the .cue file for the first disk. Then when I repeat that for the other disks I get an error saying .cue invalid I have tried adding he .bin it says the same thing.
Any ideas?

Re: PSX Games not scanning in properly
Hi Chudz,
Do the Cue files look like this for the games.............................Open each one using Notepad++ (Free to use program, just Google it).
FILE "Final Fantasy XII (Disk 1).bin" BINARY
TRACK 01 MODE1/2352
INDEX 01 00:00:00
If not then resave it by editing your one to the above and replacing it, then do the same for all the remaining Disk's, like so..............
FILE "Final Fantasy XII (Disk 2).bin" BINARY
TRACK 01 MODE1/2352
INDEX 01 00:00:00
FILE "Final Fantasy XII (Disk 3).bin" BINARY
TRACK 01 MODE1/2352
INDEX 01 00:00:00
Then retry again in RetroX, hopefully that will stop the error's, hope that helps.

Re: PSX Games not scanning in properly
I would use the "Add folder for one system" and then select PlayStation and then the "Sony PlayStation" folder.
A rescan will look for all the files in that folder and it will add Final Fantasy as a multi disk game.
No need to go one by one. That option is only used when you have a folder with a lot of stuff that are not games, like a Download folder for example. In that case you don't want RetroX to add all your files, so you pick only the one that has the game.
