Reactive Device

Postby PPGG » Sat Sep 29, 2018 11:42 pm

Hello RetroX community,

Today when I was installing RetroX to a new device, I accidentally remove RetroX permission from one of my favorite devices (Nvidia Shield).

When I try to open RetroX on the NVidia Shield, I get a message saying that's impossible to load emulators ?

How can I reactivate it on the shield ? I really don't want to reinstall it again from scratch ...

Thanks a lot for the info

Can you send a shot so I can see the exact error message?

The error message is " Cannot load emulators data. Please try again later "

It stays on the screen for about 1min, then RetroX closes itself automatically. I never get a chance to enter again my email/password to reactivate RetroX on my Nvidia Shield.

Looks like a network issue or storage issue. If you haven't added any kind of storage to your Shield try rebooting your Shield and/or rebooting your router.
Also in parallel, I can check if I've got any error reported from your device, I just need your account name to check.

Hi Franco, thanks a lot for the suggestions.

I have a Nvidia Pro (500Gb internal storage), so I don't have any type of external storage.
I did reboot the Nvidia Shield and my Wi-Fi router a few times, but the issue remains.
Whenever I start RetroX, I never get an opportunity to enter my account/password again to reactivate the app.
I'm always stuck at the error message " Cannot load emulators data. Please try again later ".

Could you check if there is something wrong with my account ? My user name is PPGG.

Again, thanks a lot for the support.

I need your user account in RetroX, PPGG is your forum account.
May be it will be faster to diagnose it with a chat session, you can reach me through http://fb.com/franco.catrin

Hi Franco, just an update: I ended up remaping manually all the game folders in my Nvidia Shield retroX.

But I noticed the same issue with reactivating retroX in another 2 devices I use for gaming.
Again I got stuck with the message " Cannot load emulators data. Please try again later " instead of being prompted to reactivate the liscenses.

Again no big deal, as I already re-installed the games manually.
But this issue happened consistently with 3 of my android devices. Just letting you know ...

Thanks a lot for the support and for maintaining this great emulator !!!
