Can't update or add emulators

I got a Pixel 4 XL and not I can't do anything. Whenever I try to update or set up an emulator RetroX crashes. Any ideas?
the app is not compatible with phones running Android10. The developer knows about the issue but does not have an Android10 phone to test and fix. Pretty much we are screwed for a bit.
I have been having this issue since the update on my Pixel2.
