Hi all.

I've been trying to play Resident Evil 2 on Playstation 1 but have been having issues.

The game comes with 2 discs. Leons disc and Clairs disc. Both discs have different characters and scenarios. My games files are set up so I have 1 file to represent each disc. However if I load up the game in Retro X it automatically loads up Leons disc and if I try and switch discs for Clairs disc in RetroX the game just freezes and won't swap to the other discs. Has any one else had this issue? I understand this multi disc is kind of different from say Final Fantasy 7 or Metal Gear but it would be great to work out how to get this going.

I had another look and I think my cue files are right. My discs are labeled as...

Resident Evil 2 (USA) (Disc 1)
Resident Evil 2 (USA) (Disc 2)

Did the Swap Disk option appeared in the in-game menu?

If not, show me your files and the game list screen for that game in RetroX

Yeah the disc swap option shows up. After I select disc 2 the screen usually goes blank.

They look fine. How are they accessed in RetroX? SD? USB? NAS? Cloud?

They're on a external hard drive.

What's the best way to send files to you?

Ok, I've sent you an email with the .cue files

let me start by saying what an amazing software retrox is. I immediately bought the full version after trying it. every game I tried so far runs like on a native console.

now about resident evil 2, I'm facing the same problem, I have both resident evil 2 discs in one folder and retrox picks them up both and the game runs perfectly but, the problem is every time you start the game, it always loads up disc 1 (Leon disc) by default. which is fine for other multi disc games because obviously you have to finish disc 1 to start 2. but that's not the case with resident evil 2 because you can actually start the game with disc 2 (Claire disc). and right now I can't access disc 2 of the game until disc 1 asks me to swap discs which is after you finish it. I think adding an option to choose which disc to start for multi disc games would solve it.
