It's on internal memory, in a folder that only the application can read it. A private folder for the app.

Do you think it will be possible to select the installation path in a future release of retroX?

May be for the advanced users only.

In the past, I put the files in the external storage, but that turned to generate a lot of support request from people that removed the storage and asked me why their games disappeared. I'm not kidding, I ended using the safest place (internal) just because of that.

Well this is funny
Maybe by using a hilarious pop up menu in order to choose just a general:
Internal memory
SD card (YOU CANNOT PLAY INSTALLED GAMES IF YOU REMOVE IT)

Well anyway another thing : it should be usefull to sort the game by installed games category. I didn't find it
