[RELEASE] 2.9.22 The Next 64 Bezels

Postby fcatrin » Tue Jun 23, 2020 3:29 am

The Next 64 Bezels update for RetroX is public now! The star of this release is the long awaited update of the N64 emulator. From this release on, the official emulator is Mupen64 Plus Next provided through RetroArch. This includes:
  • Better compatibility and less glitches (Rogue Squadron and others are now playable)
  • More high resolution options for powerful devices
  • Automatic 8bitdo gamepad mapping
  • All the new RetroArch features from RetroX can now be used in this emulator: live borders, backgrounds, the classic shaders and bezels...
Yes. From this release there is automatic integration with The Bezel Project. Just select Borders -> Bezels and you are ready to go. You can select Per System or Per Game bezels and they will be downloaded automatically for your games.

Other new features include:
  • No need to restart the app when adding or rescanning games
  • Your available storage will be checked before trying to download or uncompress emulators and other packages
Fixes in this release include:
  • Some shaders compatibility with Live Borders
  • Wrong live borders when using high resolution emulators
  • Video transition issues on themes
  • Freezes / crashes when saving states in some systems
Thanks to everyone giving feedback and new ideas to improve RetroX! The next release will include at least one new or updated emulator, hopefully in a few days!

The bezels look awesome man! well done again :)
*oh and super hyped to see the new or updated emulator / I'm hoping for Neo Geo CD (that will dismiss the ONLY interest I have in the Polymega) or any of classic 8bits - Speccy / C64 or Amstrad - loved them all :D
