GPD XD button mapping problems

Postby Spudman_76 » Thu Jul 27, 2017 9:48 pm

When assigning physical buttons on the GPD instead of the onscreen buttons.
The games don't recognize the physical buttons unless I also leave on the onscreen buttons. I'd rather not play games with virtual buttons in view. Anyone else had this problem?

Hi there,

On which emulator are you having this trouble in retroX?.
There shouldn't be any problems with the controls once you setup the GPD XD up on the following screen.
Found in settings / Gamepad options, click or touch on the word "Gamepad 1" that is showing my controller i use, Rock Candy as in my case, but yours will display i should imagine GPD XD controller in that line, touch each key displayed on your device, so they light up, and press on Analogue or Dpad or Button, or triggers on the GPD XD and once you think you have highlighted them all, click on Save, then press back a few times to get back to your Game listings, then try again,. it should work without on screen keys now?

I´m having the same issue with GPD XD. The buttons work well when moving the cursor, selecting games etc, but they don´t work while playing games.

After restoring the device to factory settings it worked. Thank you.
