GPD XD

Postby abutito » Mon May 01, 2017 7:32 pm

Very cool RetroX, it fell like glove in my GPD XD!
It would be interesting to add this hardware to the RetroX list.

Nice!

What model do you have?
What systems have you tried on it? Have you tried PSX, PSP, N64 and Dreamcast?

Model: GPD XD 64GBS
CPU Rockchip RK3288 Quad-Core (ARM Cortex-A17)ARM structure 1.8Ghz
GPU ARM Mali-T764 600MHz
RAM DDR3-SDRAM 2GB
Operate System Android 4.4.4
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I've tried: nes, snes, genesis, master system, gba, game gear, pce, atari 2600, 5200, 7800, work very well !!
The Mame and Finalburn I have problems in control, ex: games like marvel vs capcom I can not use the special (half moon + 2 punches). With an emulator out of the RetroX, it works normal.

PSX: Well, tests: Castlevania Simphony Of Night, Diablo, RE2, Mortal Kombat Trilogy.
DC: Playable, tests: Marvel vcs Capcom 2 and Shemue.
PSP: Castlevania: The Dracula X Chronicles, ok. (I had problems with the control, I can not use directional diagonal, but that's all). The non-playable GOWs ...
N64 tests: Super Mario 64, Mario Kart 64 all ok. Conker is not playable ...

These were the games I tested.

I've received reports from people having problems with multiple buttons pressed at he sametime.
We use RetroArch for MAME, if possible can you try with RetroArch-1.2.2 and check if the problem is still there or not?

I'll test, but this is not worrisome, I'm just reporting the error.
My suggestion would be: "look more" at the GPD XD. It's a great laptop! :D And the retroX of all frontend I tested is the best !!

Thanks!

I've checked and I've seen some reviews. It looks like a very interesting device!
May be if you can record a small video showing RetroX running on it we can add it to our RetroX Playlist in YouTube.

Thanks!
