Login and Activation using another device

Today RetroX requires the user to log in using the app, that makes it hard to sign in using Android TV based devices where sometimes Google services don't exist (Amazon boxes) or it's harder or impossible to use the interfaces provided by the account manager (Facebook). Users now will have an option to use their phone or any other device to sign in their TV boxes, simply scanning a code or opening a link will allow the users to connect their accounts with their TV boxes.

This same method will be used to activate accounts. Users will be able to open a browser in another device, purchase a subscription and the TV device will automatically get the activated account. No entering of Activation Codes will be required in that case. Of course, the current method using Activation Codes will be available as well.
