RetroX will be able to add files from private clouds like OwnCloud, NextCloud and Tonido. Development is currently going on Tonido which is a simple to use private cloud (http://tonido.com)
What is a private cloud? Just put your games in your own computer, and your private cloud app will make them available to RetroX. One of the features that I like of Tonido is that RetroX will provide the user interface to log in, avoiding user interface problems that are currently present in Google Drive and Dropbox using TV devices. Also Tonido can be run in a Raspberry Pi, so you can mount your cloud in a small server in your home and access it from anywhere.

Oh Wow, i am liking the sound of this Franco, BUT how much cloud storage are we allowed to use?

Re: [BETA] Private cloud support: Tonido
Looks good, but currently having issues with Tonido running on Windows. I can see the root folder that is shared, but clicking into any folder keeps asking for the user and password.
For example, I share my M drive M:\ (i also tried the same with inner folders in that drive) and they appear as the full drive path. For example, when I share my "Games" folder, it shows up as M:\Games. Clicking on it asks for the user and pass, but when entered it just takes me to the same M:\Games again.
At the top is states:
Tonido - /mytonidoname.tonido.com/M:\

Being a private cloud I think it's unlimited.
Although, in my tests I have found it a bit slow for big collections

Sounds like the ":" is bringing some noise, I only have tested this on Linux where there is no drive names.
I will ask a friend to give it a go and see how can we fix it
