Request: New N64 controller layout mod

Games like wwf no mercy heavily rely on l and r buttons and it doesn't work great with a thumb stick clicks. Is it possible for a fourth layout mod for either:

1. Using the right thumb stick directions for all the c buttons and using l and r for l and r. Lt and RT as z (this is my preferred method for all games when using N64 emulators)

2. Have the 4th layout mod be a custom one for us to set?

I don't know how hard these things are but having this would be the icing on the cake as retro X has been the simplest front end I've ever used, keep up the good work.

Cheers

Mmm the one you describe is the current layout for N64 using PS style gamepads since a long time

Please check this out: http://www.retrox.tv/release-2-6-5-gold ... s-for-n64/

Cheers

I too would prefer to have the c pad as the right analog stick. I have tried all three of the layouts included, but none of them seem to use this other stick.

Using the ocarina in Zelda is a huge pain when you have to think, left shoulder pad, x...damn, no it's y...ok start over... :(

The right analog can be used a the C buttons.
Just make sure you have mapped your right analog using the blue dots at Gamepads -> Map

Hi Franco,

The setup i like to use for N64 is as follows..............(Using a PS2 pad)
N64 - PS2 controls
A - X
B - O
Start - Start
Dpad - Dpad
L trig - L2
R trig - R2
Z - R1 or L1
L stick - L stick
C Buttons - R stick
Select Back button to RetroX sub-menu (Options).
This setup i find is perfect for all N64 games.
But when i tried the optimised for Goldeneye setup, the Z button is L2, which is difficult to get to, and impossible to play it.
