Hi Menrock,

Do you edit/remove all the symbols at the *.Gdi txt too?
I use Dreamcast Emulators in the past at the PC and no problems with *.Gdi Files with Symbols. Is this a problem from Android or Reicast? Hmmmmm....

It shouldn't be a problem, at least it is not in my devices but I'm curious if it could be a problem in other devices.

Correct: romname.gdi .iso .any compatible ext
Incorrect:@ny!ncorrectrom(E)*name*.gdi .iso .any compatible ext

I asume .gdi is like .bin .cue files and .cue call bin file with some additional config, of course you have to rename both i think and .cue text to fix new rom name.
Problem is emulators can't open roms with symbols.

Could having those symbols in the name for PS1 games cause issues for it scrapping properly?

No, those symbols are stripped away

I've checked and I have several games with "(" and ")" and they work fine.
What device are you using and where are those files installed? (and what filesystem? FAT32? NTFS?)

Hello :)

I test a Dreamcast Iso in *.cdi Format and now:

It runs perfect :D

I don't know what's the problem with the *gdi files, maybe really the symbols...

Next problem is know, that RetroX grab no cover art. I think the reason is, that they've their original release names like "KALS2". Is there a tool that rename me these to normal titles?

It seems to be a problem with symbols, but not "(" or "[" but "!". Can you confirm?

All my games are GDI and they work fine, but none has "!" in their names.
