Re-connect a controller in player2 instead of player1

Hello everyone,
When I leave my controller (with player1) without using it for a while and I automatically re-connect my controller again, this controller connects as player2. So, I have to quit the game, I start the game again to start with player1. Is there a some way to reconnect always a player1 if retroxtv recently disconnected player1?
