Nothing in Home Network / Nas

Postby guips » Sun Jul 16, 2017 4:48 pm

Hello,

When I try to acces my NAS with Retrox, there is nothing . the only line present is " go to parent folder".
When I use Es Explorer my NAS is visible and my other devices on the network.
I try rebooting the box uninstall / clear data, close ES explorer remove it, nothing work.

I also checked :
Your NAS must be in the same local network as your RetroX device
Your NAS must support the SMB1 protocol (also known as CIFS or NT1)
Some devices like Western Digital ones have their own proprietary client that will not work with RetroX. Check your NAS user manual and look for info about how to enable Public Folders or Samba (SMB1)
Some devices name SMB1 protocols as Windows protocols or Windows services

Can you help me ?

Thank you. ;)

Make sure that your NAS is sharing the folders with SMB1/CIFS as the instructions say.

How many time passes between opening the NAS option and the circle stops spinning?

Can you try with this app to see if there is an additional message?

http://arealinux.cl/apk/FileX.apk

Thanks

Sadly it's very hard to diagnose these kind of network problems, each windows network is different.
If I have some clue about what can be happening in your case, I'll leave comment here or in the release notes.

if that's is not an internal IP it is like another device in another network answered the initial query and then it didn't answer the next query in time.

All network requests for that protocol are targeted to local networks (192.168.x.x or 10.x.x.x). If you are receiving a response from an external network, your device may be exposed to a non-private network. Are you using VPN or bridging in that device? If so, try disabling them.
