HD graphics

Postby juan3druiz » Wed Jul 26, 2017 5:48 pm

Hi!

I was wondering if there is any setting to change the resolution of the psx core. I have a 4k 65" Tv and I'm running a nvidia Shield TV. I was able to change the resolution on the ePSXE emulator, and all the games look way better with the OpenGl plugin. Is there something similar for RetroX?

Thanks in advance, and I really appreciate your work

Hi!

Currently we are using pcsx_rearmed for PS1, it is a pixel perfect emulator but yes, the original PS1 doesn't look good in big screens.
There is nothing that can be done for now unless we add another emulator like ePSXE in the future.

Sorry

I've had some pretty decent results with some of the shaders available in the options, I can't remember the exact name but they were something simple like scale 2x and scale 3x. They did seem to sharpen the image up and make it a little cleaner, also made text easier to read. I've found keeping them at the original 4:3 aspect helps too
