Using RetroX on Bluestacks Android emulator on PC.

Postby KingPepper50 » Thu Sep 07, 2017 2:52 pm

Hi everyone,

I have been experimenting with Bluestacks (Android emulator) on my Toshiba laptop (i3 processor, with a Intel 3000 graphics chip).

So far have found it works pretty good on the whole, but there is one big problem and that i can NOT get any controllers to be recognised in RetroX,
which is a real big shame, apart from that, i have found a way of playing most of the games using the laptop keyboard though.
As long as the emulator running has on screen touch controls, you can make a custom set of keys overlay over the original touchscreen keys, and Dpad, or Analogue stick/s.
But i am wondering if Joy2Key would work on here, be very interesting to see, will give it a shot. :geek:
Edit 1: Well it does to a point, it made my Wireless controller work, but when pressing Left or Right, say in a racing game, for some reason it loses the Dpad or Analogue press and you stop turning and go straight in a barrier, at every corner, so nearly works. (Using my Afterglow PS3 wireless controller).

Sorry Franco, if this is in the wrong part of the forum. ;)

Nice work tinkering with Bluestacks! Will be interesting to see if we can get full controller support in the future.
