Hello everyone,
How are you? I hope everything is going well!
Maybe it is a bit stupid question. I usually play Atari 800 XL games, where precision is extremely important. I have an IPega 9090 controller and Mi Box (no "S") and the precision is not so good. Will I have a small lack of precision with a Bluetooth controller? or I have to spend money with better hardware?
Best regards,
Paul Leger

Re: Precision of bluetooth controllers
What kind of lack of precision? Lag?
Sometimes it's just a matter of setting your TV in "Game Mode". That will remove any kind of post processing that in normal conditions will produce lag in your games. I have several iPega controllers and I've used them with the Xiaomi Mi and Xiaomi Mi S without problems.

Yes, it is a lag precision (around 0.5 seconds what it is hard for some games). I don't understand why TV has the responsibility of this because it is Mi Box TV that processes the game or not? Just TV show the video.
Re: Precision of bluetooth controllers
No the TV does not "just show the video".
The TV receives the image and from there it can do all sort of things to improve the image, that will requiere several frames and you will see a delay between the time your TV received the image and the time your TV displays the image. That's why they added a Game Mode, where there is no processing at all and your TV displays the image as soon as it arrived.

If it isn't the TV's post-processing, maybe it could be something as simple as how far the controller is from the device. It may sound obvious, but perhaps try moving the controller closer and seeing if that helps at all.
