Fire TV Controller

Postby Dunjamon » Thu Jul 27, 2017 9:26 pm

I've installed the free version on a fire TV and for the most part functionality is great. Only small issue is that when setting up my controller; the should buttons won't get married mapped. In debug I can see the triggers are working, but when mapping them no response.

Those two buttons are shown up, but they can't be changed because the emulators read them directly

Can I not map them to like start and select as the controller doesn't have them.

L2 and R2 cannot be mapped. In the OUYA we mapped START and SELECT to L3 and R3, because that controller didn't have those buttons.

Can you post a picture of your controller?

No worries. Couple of images from Amazon.

Aha!

You can map SELECT to the BACK button and START to the MENU Button.
The only button that you cannot map is the HOME button. It's not available to the applications.

Nice one. I was using the analogue sticks for the buttons, but your idea is much better. Thanks!
